i'm feeling very good about my job today. i think it's the caffeine. it's nice to come in on saturday mornings when all the administrative staff is off and everything is quiet. that way it still feels like the weekend to me even though i have to come in and work.
we had a group of middle and high school aged kids come in for a tour. i love hearing the guides discuss contemporary art with children. what does this look like to you? how does it make you feel?

the severity of my latest cold is the most compelling evidence i've seen so far in favor of my quitting smoking. handy that while you're sick, you often lose the desire to smoke, and i've been too sick to want a cigarette for the past four days. but oh, i will miss it.

we'll see. when i announced my displeasure with online communities (i'm looking at you, myspace, friendster, and facebook) sam kindly offered to help set me up with one of these here drupal thingies.

i'm also going to take advantage of the fact that no one knows about the site but sam and i and post nonsense in my blog all the time. woo hoo!
